And now, a bit about our leaders…

Edmund Scanlan, Founder & CEO

When Ed Scanlan founded Infra-Strategy in 2002, his credentials were already impressive: he had worked for several years in business and product development at three prominent interactive agencies in Chicago; led the development of some of the first non-profit e-commerce applications at United Way; been invited to present at the World Electronic Commerce Conference and had his work highlighted in the Electronic Commerce Report.

Infra-Strategy was the natural culmination of Ed’s skills and interests. What began as an online agency and information-technology management firm (and a solo project) morphed into a complex, multi-layered, 100+ employee company run by Ed and his partner Kevin Chern. Today, Infra-Strategy provides Internet marketing, software development and IT support services to more than 1,000 businesses across the United States. The company’s success can be attributed to Ed’s instincts and aptitude for implementing the most innovative and progressive Internet marketing tools available and the collaboration of, in his words, "incredibly talented people united in a common vision."

But don’t let this imposing résumé fool you – Ed’s more likely to be found collaborating with Infra team members than holed up in his office, and he’s never too busy for a quick chat about the Cubs.

Kevin Chern, President

When he joined Ed to help lead Infra-Strategy, Kevin Chern was no newcomer to growing businesses. From 1997 to 2005, he worked as managing partner of the country’s largest consumer bankruptcy law firm. The firm, which began with only two attorneys, included more than 180 employees in 19 states serving approximately 450 new clients weekly by the end of Kevin’s tenure. As a lawyer, he has represented thousands of bankruptcy filers and made a name for himself as an expert in law practice development.

Now the President of Infra-Strategy, Kevin has again used his expertise to help the company expand from its starting core to more than 100 employees. By contributing his expertise in the areas of law practice management, marketing, business development and technology, Kevin has helped Infra-Strategy provide its clients with the support and innovation needed to stay competitive in an online market.

As the author of Life after Bankruptcy, contributing writer to several legal blogs and a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), Kevin uses his cutting-edge legal knowledge to improve the service and products Infra-Strategy provides its clients.
