where we've been

Early 2002:

Infra-Strategy begins: Ed Scanlan founds Infra-Strategy at 1846 N. Damen, in his apartment above an Italian Ice stand. “Interns” help him build websites for companies.

Winter, 2002:

Infra moves its headquarters to 12 S. Michigan Avenue, then the Chicago Athletic Association. The “office” is composed of two old hotel rooms with the middle wall knocked down and is accessible only by crossing a boiler room, the hotel’s fire exit or a men’s locker room. Five people work for Infra.

2003:

Infra-Strategy doubles its revenue and employee count.

Winter, 2004:

Because of continuing growth, Infra needs to move again, to one floor of Willoughby Tower, at 8 S. Michigan Avenue.

2005:

Kevin Chern joins Infra-Strategy as a 50% partner. At this time, the company has a dozen employees and shifts to a more internally focused development structure.

  • Infra-IT is developed, becomes section of company with an IT business focus. Infra transitions from charging hourly IT rates to being a monthly service provider.
  • For the third year in a row, Infra-Strategy’s head count and revenue doubles.

2006:

As our team expands, Infra-Strategy spreads in Willoughby Tower, occupying the 30th, 27th, 13th and 29th floors.

Summer, 2007:

Infra-Strategy moves to the 5th floor of 25 East Washington, and the company continues expanding.
